Watcha Buying? Game Releases for 8/13/12 – 8/19/12

A new week brings new video games. And lucky for us this week is bringing a few more titles than last week. Darksiders II is one of the games many people have been looking forward to, but you can’t blame them since everything for the game looks fantastic. This week also brings out a game that was worked on by two legends in the Video Game Industry, Hironobu Sakaguchi and Nobuo Uematsu. Don’t get me wrong the team is talented, but these two are legends themselves and they’ve collaborated to bring us, The Last Story. The game is an action RPG that also incorporates strategy and stealth into the mix.

This week you can also go and pick up the new 3DS XL model. It comes out on the 19th, it’s a bigger console with bigger screens and an improved battery life. Out on the same day is New Super Mario Bros. 2. You’ll once again have to rescue your beloved Princess Peach from the evil clutches of Bowser. In this game you’ll also have to pick up as many gold coins as you possibly can. It looks like a lot of fun.

Another big retail release is Sleeping Dogs. You play as Wei Shen, an undercover cop who’s going to be taking on the Hong Kong Triads. There is plenty of action all over the place, so get ready for a great action-packed game. On the digital size we have Papo & Yo. You’ll as, Quico, a young boy who’s become best friends with a monster. As you play the game the monster has some bad times, but you prove that won’t stop you from still being his friend.
