Yesterday Sony started rolling out the PlayStation Vita 1.65 update. Shortly after its release some problems arose. Well things seem better today; the update is now up for grabs. It’s not v1.65 though, it’s v1.66. The news came in from the European PlayStation Blog. But don’t worry the firmware notes are the same.
The updated version of the update fixes the problems associated with the first one, which were associated with PS Vita users not being able to use adhoc play in PSP titles. Nice to see Sony responded quickly and repaired the problem. Other than that everything else seems the same. List of changes below compliments of the PlayStation Blog.
- A “Notification Alert” option will be added to Settings, so you can toggle alerts on or off
- “After 10 minutes” will be added to the time options under Power Save Settings
- An Arrow icon will now appear when PS Vita finds new activities in the LiveArea
- Caps Lock will be supported in the On Screen Keyboard
