PlayStation Branded Display Bundle will Include Resistance 3 After all

Sony is going back on their decision to not include Resistance 3.  Now you will be able to get the game packed in with the display, but only if you pre-order the bundle by September 30, 2011.   This comes after they had removed this game and replaced it with MotorStorm: Apocalypse. That isn’t a bad game to replace it with, but it isn’t up to par with what Resistance 3 would offer you.

When they decided to make this move many of the retailers still kept offering you Resistance 3 as part of the deal that was a great move on their part.  I guess Sony thought “Hey we don’t want to look bad so let’s give it back to them.”  It really won’t affect many people since you were already going to receive the game from retailers.  No matter the reason for their reversal on the move it’s a welcomes one.  A video showing off the display and what it offers is below.

Seems our favorite Commander is almost finished with his mission.  Dr. Ray Mazuka, CEO of BioWare confirmed that Shepard will be done saving the galaxy by saying:

“We have ambitious plans to continue this franchise going forward.  Mass Effect 3 is simultaneously a couple of different things; a thrilling and epic conclusion to the trilogy as we promised our fans we’d provide for Commander Shepard, but it’s also a brand new beginning – it’s an entry point for new fans and it’s also a brand new beginning.”

Hopefully Shepard will get his goodbye done right with a bang.  He is an awesome character and fits perfectly into the games.  Plus now we have a female version of the Commander and the default version looks awesome and all fired up for action.

If you still think there might be some hope that Shepard will be back Michael Gamble confirmed that he will not by saying:

“After this, Commander Shepard’s story is complete.”

It’s a bit sad thinking that this one person who we all grew accustomed to won’t be in any future Mass Effect projects.  We have customized him put our self’s in his shoes.  Now there will even be a female version, but it’s all done just one more game to go.  So let’s hope that the future looks bright for this amazing series.

This week’s Xbox Live Deal of the Week features some good stuff everyone.  There are plenty of different choices for you to spend those Microsoft Points on.  They’re offering us some good DLC, an awesome arcade game and even a good old original Xbox game.  All of the prices for these are pretty cheap so they won’t make such a big dent on your wallet.  Except for that Metal Arms™: Glitch in the System which is $15, really Microsoft…really?

The best deal would go to Gatling Gears because it is an awesome action game.  You control a mech destroy enemies across the screen.  It includes lots of action, lots of enemies, customization to your mech.  What else could you want and for only 400 MP ($5).  If you aren’t into that type of game go for the DLC and explore some more Bioshock 2 and Borderlands.

Game Title Original Price Discounted Price
Galing Gears 800 400
Metal Arms™: Glitch in the system
1200 1200
Minerva’s Den 800 400

Not releasing until November 20th Nintendo announces The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword bundle.  The special limited-edition of Skyward Sword will cost you $69.99, coming packed with a gold Wii Remote Plus.

If you don’t have a Wii MotionPlus attachment, then you’ll need the Wii Remote Plus.  Skyward Sword uses the extraFUA of motion precision to be played so dump those old Wiimotes and upgrade.

Which ever copy you decide to get, whether it’ll be the special limited-edition or standard copy of the game. You’ll receive a memorable CD containing selected orchestral versions of The Legend of Zelda 25th Anniversary Symphony Concert tour.

Since I won’t be able to make it to the concert, I’m excited that Nintendo will bundle the CD for us Zelda fans.  The symphony concert kicks off in LA this October, visit here for ticket info.
